From building, to renting, to development, to sales, Fred Romvari has accumulated extensive experience in every aspect of residential real estate. Having started his career as an investor fresh out of college in 1986, he owned and managed more than 35 properties by his mid-20s. He opened a mortgage company at age 26, which was soon followed by an escrow company and a construction company.

The breadth and depth of Fred’s experience make him uniquely qualified to see the big picture in any real estate transaction. Combined with decades of local market knowledge (which began when he purchased his first condo on Maui in 2000), he brings a strategic vision to every client’s specific situation. He is not only highly regarded for his consummate professionalism and negotiating expertise, but he genuinely enjoys using creative problem-solving to remove barriers and lead clients to a successful closing.

A natural competitor, Fred rowed crew for a National Championship team at the University of Washington, which involved training six days per week, nine months of every year, with two to three workouts per day. Finding himself surrounded by highly determined and talented teammates from all over the country, he was driven to work even harder, persisting through injuries and cold, early morning practices, and ending up in the top five when it came to strength and endurance. He learned invaluable lessons from the experience, including the simple truth that hard work and perseverance lead to great accomplishments.

Born in Eastern Europe to a family that escaped communism by moving to Seattle, Washington, Fred learned from his parents the importance of avoiding excuses and finding a way to get things done. He makes a personal commitment to each of his clients to straightforward, responsive, relentless work on their behalf, using an instinctive, innovative approach to ensure their total satisfaction.

Fred lives by a motto he learned from a tough high school football coach: luck is when preparation meets opportunity. When he is not hard at work for his clients, he takes advantage of island life on Maui by swimming, diving, and fishing.
